Below you will find the trip itinerary - FOR THE 2008 KILLINGTON
TRIP. It lists pickup times and locations as well as what we will
be doing on the trip. You will also get a copy on the bus in your trip
packet when you sign in before getting on the bus.
Friday, January 18, 2008
4:00PM:
Trip sign-in starts at the bus pickup location at IKEA on South
Columbus Blvd (Delaware Ave towards the stadiums). Please park between Ikea and
Linens and Things against the back road - look for the buses. You will get your
trip packet with this itinerary, your weekend wristband, Greengenes pass, and
your trip t-shirt. PLEASE be at the pickup location at 4:30pm - NO
LATER.
5:00PM:
Buses promptly depart for Killington. The
ride is BYOB - feel free to bring what you would like.
PhillyTrips.com will be supplying beer for the ride up as well - you need not
bring alot on your own. DO NOT BE LATE, or you will
find yourself driving to Vermont!
5:00 - 11:30PM:
Travel time to Killington. Meet new people on the bus,
relax, and have a beer (or five)! This is one of the most fun parts of the
trip each year - and will be once again! Make sure to get the cell phone
numbers of the people you meet. Also, ask people what type of skier they
are - you will find some people to spend the day with on the slopes. We
will stop for a 30 minute break at some point in the middle of the bus
ride. Yes, the bus DOES have a bathroom and DVD player - feel free to
bring DVDs.
11:30PM-ish:
Arrive in Killington at the Mountain Green Condo
Resort. Unload buses and check into your hotel room. Sign up for
rentals in hotel bar area. Get your lift tickets. Have a beer at the
condo bar. Then head back to your room to rest up for a great day on the
slopes the next day!
Saturday, January 19th, 2008
7:00AM:
Wake up! Get some breakfast and head out to the slopes
after. All condos have a full kitchen & bed linens - you DO NOT need
to bring sheets with you (assume you are staying at a hotel). Cook or
bring something quick to eat. There is no a grocery store on site - please
bring what you want to cook.
8:30 - 4:00PM:
Ski & Snowboard!!! Be careful, have fun, and
enjoy the clean Vermont mountain air. Dress warm, it is going to be a
pretty cold Saturday and a VERY cold Sunday. PRAY TO THE SNOW GODS FOR
SOME NEW SNOW!
4:00PM - 5:30PM:
Get off the slopes and back to the condos to get ready
for the HOT TUB!!
5:30 - 7:00PM:
Apres Ski! Hot tub and pool. Have a beer and
relax after a long day on the slopes. NO GLASS or COOLERS.
8:00 - 10:00PM:
Dinner and drinks. If you want to go to another
restaurant, be sure to make reservations - call ahead the day before. Most
places will be on a 2+ hour wait if you do not.
10:00PM - 2:00AM:
The Pickle Barrel or Wobbly Barn (we suggest the Wobbly
Barn for Saturday night). If you decide to go to The Pickle Barrel to see
Mr Greengenes, there is a $20 cover charge. We have included a free
pass to The Pickle Barrel for all of our guests.
IMPORTANT: You can use this Pickel Barrel pass Saturday
OR Sunday night. If you use it one night, the other night you will
need to pay cover and wait in line. We suggest heading to The Wobbly Barn
on Saturday night and saving your pass for Sunday Night when we hope to have our
entire group at The Pickle Barrel. Show your wristband be |
