Saturday, May 17th, 2008
5:30AM: (yeah, it's early, but we have to leave early to get
there early to avoid any long lines to get into the infield! Sleep on the bus if
you want!)
Trip sign-in starts. You will get your trip packet with Preakness ticket,
T-Shirt, other info, and a gift bag. Load and board the buses at the Ikea
parking lot. You can leave your cars overnight, you just need to park them
against the back side of the parking lot - which we will show you the location
of when you arrive.
6:30AM:
Promptly depart for Preakness. Some beer & water will be supplied on the
bus ride down. Buses leave at 6:30 sharp – do not be late! We will not be
waiting for people since we have to get to the Preakness gates as early as
possible to avoid long lines. The gates open at 8am. We will also be requesting
a cell phone number from each person on the sign-in sheet.
6:30AM – 8:30AM:
Meet new people on the bus and have a beer!
8:30AM:
Arrive at Preakness. We will park in the Bus Parking section. As a group, we
will enter the Infield area. If you cannot find the group, please contact Mark
Zwick at 215-519-9482 to be best guided to the group area. See this map of the
area. The Green box with "PT" in it is where our group will be. We will enter
from the entrance just to the right of the area and go left when you get in. The
bus lot is off of Preakness Rd. There is a small payment area there with grass
right on the fence - perfect for our group! We will be trying to post a

7:15PM:
Meet back at the buses. This is about 1 hour after the final horse race of
the day. The Preakness race is over at about 6:10pm giving you some time to cash
in your winning tickets! If you have an issue finding the bus, please contact
Mark @ 215-519-9482. The pickup location will be the EXACT same location as
where the bus parked. DO NOT BE LATE!
7:30PM:
Depart for Philly. Do not be late!! If something happens, please call to
alert us of your situation.
8:30PM:
We will take a 30 minute stop on the way home to get something to eat at the
rest area in Delaware.
9:30-10:00PM:
Arrive back in Philadelphia at the Ikea parking lot.
