By now, you all probably know that the airlines have imposed baggage fees for travelers.

Your first checked bag is $20 each way (your main luggage & clothes bag) and must be 50 lbs or under.  Your second checked bag costs $30 each way (this would be your skis, boats, & poles).   Please see the link below or call US Air for more information on baggage fees.  You cannot check in online with US Air, you must do this at the airport (this is a US Air thing, NOT due to our tickets).  We are TRYING to get the fee to $15/$25 since we booked so far in advance, but cannot promise this.

Any bag over 50 lbs is subject to overage fees in the amount of $50/bag each way. WEIGH YOUR BAGS AT HOME THE NIGHT BEFORE!

Another option that is open to you is to ship your ski / snowboard equipment right to the resort and have it waiting for you when you get there. This is more convenient and possibly less costly.  Feel free to price this out and make your decision.  Be sure you time this option correctly if you are going to do it!  Why not rent though?
