Last year, a great time was had by all travelers on this overnight Baltimore/Preakness trip. This year, we have already reserved 2 buses and are expecting this to be yet again a successful trip. Due to popular request from last year, we have also added the opportunity to purchase your own seating instead of using our infield seats - if you would prefer to enjoy the race from the grandstands instead - it is up to you!

This Trip Includes:
Round-trip deluxe motor coach bus, overnight accomodations, an infield ticket to the race, beer on the bus ride down, and no-cover & drink specials at our late-night happy hour in the Inner Harbor area. Everyone will also get a free subscription to Philly STYLE Magazine and a copy of the mag on the ride down. Check out the "Packages & Pricing" section to the right for more information or to book this trip. Spend all day Sunday in Baltimore for your own Sunday Funday!
Seating Options:
This year, we have adding the option of not purchasing one of our infield tickets. The Top of the Stretch (premium seats), Grandstand resevred (covered), or other higher-premium tickets can be purchased on your own via http://www.preakness.com/Admissions/. We have given this option since many asked us if they can sit in their own premium seats in prior years - this option give you the flexibility to do so. An infield ticket is included with all other packages.
About This Trip:
What makes this trip different than a normal Baltimore trip is that we are making it a 2-part trip. Saturday, we leave to go to the Preakness Stakes in the morning. If you have never been to or even heard of this event, it is a VERY FUN DAY (www.Preakness.com). All day, we will party it up at the racetrack for the race!! If you do not know, the infield has food, entertainment, drinks, big-screen TVs to watch the race, and a VERY EXCITING atmosphere. That evening, we will bus back to the Wyndham Baltimore in Inner Harbor (nice hotel just a few blocks from the Inner Harbor waters) and go out for a group late-happy hour. Finally, on Sunday, we will be leaving later in the day to allow you to tour the Inner Harbor and relax after a fun weekend.
Coolers are welcome on the bus ride down!! This trip is BYOB. We will be supplying some beer for the ride down, but be sure to bring your own as well for the infield festivities! Also, be sure to bring beers for the Preakness infield festivities! Click Here for what you can and cannot bring into the Infield.
This is the 131st Preakness Stakes. Last year over 115,318 people attended setting a new attendence record. The Preakness is located only a short drive from Baltimore and our hotel, so we will get you home with enough time to get ready to go out in Fells Point or Inner Harbor!
One of the best aspects of this and other PhillyTrips.com trips is that we create an atmosphere that keeps the group together so that you are sure to meet a ton of new people on this trip (although you are always free to do what you'd like). Preakness, the late happy hour, and the ability to tour Baltimore on Sunday will all lend nicely to having everyone together for most of the trip - a request that we get from each and every person we talk to.
Pick-Up/Drop-Off Location:
Our buses will now be picking up at IKEA - not HOME DEPOT. IKEA is located across the street from Home Depot at 2206 South Columbus Blvd. [View Map] We have approval to park between IKEA and Linens and Things - look for our buses. Part under the lights between the two buildings against the back road area. Ikea has refreshment and food inside if you want to purchase food or drink before the trip. It has a security guard that patrols the lot all night as well.
