JazzFest 2005 in New Orleans!
If you have never been to Jazzfest, you may have heard about it. Ifyou went last year, you already know. Right up there with Mardi Gras, Jazzfest is a ton of fun while getting the chance to experience some of the very best music around. Some sample pics from last year:
Having thoughts about this trip but do not like Jazz? No problem. Read this - it is a great overview of what Jazzfest is all about... All About Jazzfest
Last year, we saw artists like Santana, Harry Connick Jr, The Neville Brothers, Wyclef Jean, Shaggy, Smokey Robinson, and MANY more!! It really is an amzing way to see some of the best acts around. This year, we will see DAVE MATTHEWS on Saturday!!

Here are some of the details of this trip...
GROUP PRE-TRIP HAPPY HOUR:
This happy hour will be on Wednesday, April 6th at 7pm. It is NOT the 7th as originally stated!!! It will be at everyone's favorite New Orleans spot in Philly - Bourbon Blue in Manayunk. Although not required, it is a great way to get any questions you have answered and meet those coming on the trip.
This year, we have 2 different trips going down. One leaves on Thursday and returns Monday and the other leaves Friday and returns Tuesday. Thursday - Monday is SOLD OUT!! If you know you want to go on the Friday-Tuesday trip, please put your deposit down ASAP.
We picked flights that allow us to make the absolute best use of the days we are there. The flights leave earlier on Thursday and Friday (click the "Flight Information" link to the right) and leave late on Monday and Tuesday. They are ALL DIRECT FLIGHTS. PhillyTrips.com does not do layovers if we can help it!!!
The trip is 4 days and 4 nights ON Bourbon St in the heart of the French Quarter (where all the famed bars and restaurants are). Let us repeat... YOU ARE ON BOURBON ST! Friday, Saturday, and Sunday you will have the opportunity to go to the fairgrounds (just a short cab ride away) and hang out and listen to music with the group or on your own. Again, it is up to you. Each night you will be able to party it up _ New Orleans style. We will be setting up group happy hours each night for everyone to meet eachother and recap the day. After, many will go to dinner and then to the bars. Most of the group meets up with eachother at night - but that is not a requirement! This year we will be making suggestions about the best things to do each night. From midnight Jazz-Bowling to kareoke to Pat O's, we will be telling you where the fun is at.
The last or second-to-last day, we will set up a group dinner for those that want to join us. Last year we had about 25 people all together. This year, let's try to take over the restaurant ourselves!
Spots are selling much quicker than last year since many people from last year are coming with us again. We suggest contacting us ASAP to book yours!
